Helix-House 6. The Green, Breathing Helix-Houses

The Helix-Houses aim to be a substantial part of future cities. Therefore the concepts for future cities describe their requirements. As an example the principles illustrated in https://www.archdaily.com/956458/future-cities-from-le-corbusiers-radiant-city-to-the-dutch-breathing-city-2050 could be selected.

This is the concept of the Dutch-Breathing-City. As the picture demonstrates, it is easy to let the dwellings breath in townhouse-like structures imbedded in in green parks. However, what about breathing in the agglomerate of 24  high buildings in the center? For shure, their outside is open, the next tower is distand, so is the green above the fourth story. If there is wind, its impossible to open a window. And the inside? No progress at all to the terrible, dark floors of the unitée d'habitation designed 100 years ago.

An obvious solution for the inside and the acces to appartments, shops and offices offer Helix-Houses with their interior.

This picture found in the internet from Las Salinas hotel, Lanzarote, gives an impression, how the interior of a Helix-House could be made green by hanging plants. Together with high effizient, UV-rich illumination this principle could bring green and breath to any commuter and to any entrance. It would bee a recent replica of the neighbourhood found in the ancient italian villages squeezed together on steep hills. Therefore the rows of buildings in the photo below are arranged in steps of typically 3 stories.

This two photographs show the via Appiani in Marciana, Isola d'Elba, Italy, since about 2000 years in use. To complete the reengineering of this prooven environment huge movable mirrors could direct sunlight in the interior of the Helix-House. After this use the mirror-Blades could shield the interieor from rain and snow, if necesary.
Openings in the basement or even a suspension of the building on pilars as Le Corbusier proposed, offer air to a breath inside without the direct wind as outside. This is the space to commute, to grow public or privat plants. The sought green, breathing interior. A place to walk, stroll, meet, see and be seen, a spanish rambla. To stay, to sit, to have open resturants and shops. A dilluted  agglomeration. Breathing in green.
